Forschungsinteressen

Als Evolutionsbiologe bin ich in molekularer Phylogenie und Evolution von Gliedertieren (Arthropoden) und besonders von Pancrustacea (Insekten + Krebse) interessiert. Ein Neuer Fokus ist die Evolution von Giften (Venomik) in noch wenig untersuchten Tieren.

In meiner Forschung wende ich eine Vielzahl von Methoden an, insbesondere Transkriptomik, Genomik, funktionelle Morphologie (Synchrotron basierte 3D rekonstruktionen) und Proteomik.
